Colour
The second most important of the 4Cs is the Colour. While D-F colour Diamonds are the highest grade and are extremely rare, many customers go with a near colourless grade (G-J) to make the most of their budget!
Carat
A carat is measured based on the weight of the diamond, and not of size, as is often supposed. Even though Hollywood has made large solitaires popular, the cut is the most important factor as it maximises sparkle. FUN FACT: Fancy-shaped Diamonds can appear larger than their actual diamond carat weight size.
Clarity
Often the least important of the 4Cs, most Suranas Diamonds are selected to be visually perfect to the naked eye. Internal characteristics are what give a natural diamond its character, and natural inclusions and blemishes are inevitable, but rarely visible.
Certification
This is generally a good guide to the unique physical properties of diamonds. All Suranas Diamonds are analysed and graded for quality by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) or by the International Gemological Institute (IGI).
